After approximately thirty years in the construction business and only being able to enjoy my love for the outdoors, on weekends and vacations, I decided to pursue a long held desire to become a license outdoor guide.

I have always known about NYSOGA and thought they would be a good place to begin. I am sure glad I did! Their OUTDOOR LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM was exactly what I was looking for.

The water safety, first aid and CPR training along with the wealth of knowledge the instructors of NYSOGA passed along to the class has given me the confidence to follow my dream.
